Ambedkar Nagar Medical College

JIL is constructing a state-of-the-art medical college at Ambedkar Nagar located in Utter Pradesh for the Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Limited at a total project cost of INR 4676.2 Million. Construction is on 112.95 acres and is slated to be complete by March, 2011.

The major components of the project are an Academic Building, a Hospital Building, an Auditorium, Hostel & Staff Quarters, Water Supply Networks and the Electrical and Telecom Systems.

Kolkata Sports City

The proposed Kolkata Sports City will be among the largest integrated sports complexes, in India. It also has commercial and residential areas within a land parcel of 250 acres. Situated at Rajarhat, the new planned township area “KSC” is the first fully integrated sports centre that provides one-stop sports and recreational experience. It's wide variety of sporting facilities include a sheltered Olympic size Pool, state-of-the-art Gym, an ultra modern Stadium, Sports Hall, Tennis Courts, etc.

The sports city is being promoted by West Bengal State Council of Sports, Govt of West Bengal. Renowned consultants having international presence have been invited for the conceptual architectural plan of the project. The total cost of the project is estimated to be INR 2.2 Billion.

Major Road Projects

Some of the major Road/Highway Construction of the JIL comprise of the following: Strengthening & widening of a 153 km stretch of road in Motihari and Dhaka Division, Bihar for RCD, Bihar. Order value: INR 904.1 million. Development of State Highways 42 km in length in the state of Bihar under RSVY Package East & West Champaran Bihar for CPWD. Order value: INR 505.6 million. Improvement/ upgradation of existing single lane State Highways into two lane expressways in the Darbhanga (29 kms) and Samastipur (32 kms) districts of Bihar from IRCON. Order values: INR 537.2 million and INR 459.7 million respectively.

The large portfolio of JIL work includes projects like Widening and Strengthening of Highways, Construction of Medical College and Allied Hospital, Construction of Weir and Allied Structures, Distribution of Water Supply for Sewerage. Some of them are as follows:

Widening& Strengthening of State Highway VI (S.T.K.K. Road) converting a 33.8 km stretch to 83 km in the district of Burdwan.

Widening& Strengthening of Paskura Durgachak Road changing a 29.9 km stretch to 62.10 km in the district Purba Medinipur.

Improvement of riding quality of Panagarh to Dubrajbur Road under ADB. A total of 48 km of smooth road is being built.
